The Bible

• It is a compilation of texts that were originally separate documents. (called books), where you can find the truth of Christ, this book is about God who guides our life through the Holy Spirit.
• The Bible is the manual of life that every human being needs to live according to the will of God and fulfill his word.

• the bible was created around 1500 years by 40 writers. The writers were fishermen, kings, priests, government officials, farmers, pastors and doctors. Inspired mainly by God.
• The holy spirit illuminated the minds of men chosen by God with exactitude, who know his person and will.
  

• The spirit of God is our comforter, who restores us, vivifies and strengthens us.

• the bible is composed of 66 books and is divided into two sections known as the old and new testament.
• In the old testament, it deals with God with man from the creation until 400 a.C.
• in the new testament, it records the birth of John the Baptist, the life and death of the Lord Jesus Christ, the life of the church and its expansion in Asia and Europe, ending with the revelation of the Apocalypse.

• originally the bible was not divided into chapters and verses as we know it today. However, in order to facilitate the search, the division by chapters was introduced by Stephen Langton, Archbishop of Canterbury.
